IOSH Managing Safely Refresher
The one day IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course will assist your organisation in ensuring that you keep up to date with current health and safety legislation and guidelines. This practical and engaging course will provide information to the delegates to look at what opportunities are available to improve the health and safety of their employees and anyone else who may be affected by the Company’s work activities.
The IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course is available for managers and supervisors who have successfully completed the IOSH Managing Safely course and received an IOSH Certificate. IOSH recommends that the Refresher course is taken every three years.
Learning Outcomes
The aim of the course is to ensure that delegates remain up to date with any changes in health and safety legislation. The course uses a straightforward, practical approach to give delegates a clear understanding of what control measures and health and safety procedures to consider in the continual improvement of their Company’s health and safety management system in achieving its intended outcomes to prevent or reduce the likelihood of undesired incidents and accidents.
On completion of the workshop delegates will be better able to:

Understand the Plan-Do- Check-Act model in evaluating their Company’s health and safety management system.

Review their current health and safety systems and procedures and consider if any changes could be introduced to ensure the continual health and safety of everyone concerned and affected by the Company’s activities.

Update their knowledge of current health and safety legislation and guidelines and how they need to act to ensure their Company remains compliant with the legislation.

Understand the importance of good, active leadership in influencing good health and safety practices.
Who should attend?
Managers, Supervisors and anyone who has previously attended and completed the IOSH Managing Safely course and gained the IOSH Certificate.
Agenda ( 1 Day Course ) Minimum 5 delegates maximum 15.
The IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course has six modules:

Module 1: Thinking Back – a review of the information given out on the IOSH Managing Safely course.

Module 2: Leadership – the importance of good, active leadership.

Module 3: Plan – the initial planning of health and safety objectives and the aims of the Health and Safety Policy.

Module 4: Do – the implementation part of the health and safety management system

Module 5: Check – collect data and evaluate progress.

Module 6: Act – Learn from reviewing performance to consider if any changes are needed.
